Not quite a 100 things about sleepyjane
1. I’m 21 years old and I live in South Africa
2. I’m the middle daughter of three daughters.
3. J is my boyfriend of 5 years and we’ve recently moved in together.
4. I adore books! I can remember my first book, ‘A marriage of revenge’ that my sister gave to me to read. My taste has improved from historical romances but I enjoy the odd novel once in a while.
5. I have a passion for music. Mostly rock, alternative/grunge and punk.
6. I have been known to have irrational emotional outbursts. Expect it here. Frequently.
7. I work for a family business. My mother sometimes drives me mad but I have found that I have an incredible amount of patience. At least, I do with her.
8. I really enjoy playing video games! The more gore and blood the better! I’m weird that way.
9. English isn’t my first language. I speak Afrikaans but I think my english is better even though I grew up speaking Afrikaans.
10. I’m caucasian. I have dark brown hair and green eyes.
11. I’m a jeans and tshirt kind of girl. I don’t consider myself high maintanance.
12. My birthday is on the 12th of November. Which means my sign is Scorpio.
13. I sometimes cry for no reason at all.
14. I don’t like meat. I’ll eat it, but usually it just grosses me out. If it weren’t for biltong and bacon I’d be a vegetarian.
15. I hate bugs. Hate them!
16. I can be quite anti social although people wouldn’t say it if they met me.
17. Sometimes I make no sense at all.
18. I have been working since I was 15. First as a waitress for about two to three years. And I think that taught me quite a few things. Like don’t send a chicken flying under the customers table. They were not impressed. Then I worked as a temp in the Pharmacy that I eventually came to work in full time after I matriculated for two years and from there I moved on to where I am now.
19. I don’t wear rings. J bought me a very pretty one for Christmas but I haven’t worn it more than ten times. And I also prefer silver and white gold jewelry to gold.
20. I also don’t wear lipstick. I am addicted to lip balm though.
21. I love giving presents.
22. Heights scare the crap out of me. And it’s getting worse the older I get.
23. I have two tattoos and I plan on getting at least one more.
24. I have been told that I am too sensitive. I suppose it’s true but how do you change that part of your personality?
25. I am very afraid of the dentist due to a broken tooth incedent when I was younger.
26. I like to wear matching pajamas to bed. Okay, I actually insist on it.
27. I do think OJ did it.
28. I have an obsession with pretty bags, from handbags to make up bags.
29. I sing in my car. I even do the guitar parts sometimes. And yes, people do stare.
30. Three things that I won’t leave the house without:
- Lip Balm
- My cell Phone
- Money.
31. I love perfume, and I have tons. From Gucci to Valentino and Stella.
32. I have a pink lava lamp. I got it as a gift for my birthday.
33. I hate how many sentences here start with ‘I’.
34. On the occasion when we eat at home J cooks because I hate cooking. I love baking though.
35. I fall asleep on my side.
36. I buy cd’s. Alot. I do download the odd cd here and there but I prefer the original.
37. I have really, really long legs. Sometimes I resent the fact because it’s so hard finding jeans that are long enough.
38. I don’t have many friends and I prefer it that way.
39. I can lie in front of the tv the whole day given half the chance.
40. I do wish this was a perfect world and there was no hunger, or abuse. No crime and no AIDS or Cancer or any other disease. My heart breaks a little everytime I see a child begging on the side of the road and I always wish I could take that child home with me. But we don’t live in a perfect world do we?
41. Sometimes when I look up at the sky I feel so incredibly small. So unimportant. The universe is HUGE and here I am on my little podium throwing a tantrum when things don’t go my way. There are structures like the pyramids that will outlast me. A human life span is so short. Why don’t we use every minute of everyday and make it wonderful?
42. Sometimes I forget how big the universe is and how short our lives are until it seems like it’s crashing down all around me.
43. I wish I had a great flair for fashion but I tend to stick to what I normally wear. I never wear dresses or heels. I feel like an idiot and a poser when I try them on.
44. I don’t judge people by their weight. I realised this when one of my friends constantly pointed out how different people look and I dislike it. People are people. But I’m very critical of myself and I don’t really lik the way I look.
45. I hate politics but it still saddens me to see the state our government is in. The head of the ANC - our soon to be president (no question that he’ll be elected) is on trial for corruption. He alledgedly also raped a woman. How sad is it that this country saw fit to vote for him?
46. It also makes me scared. The state of our country.
47. Why can’t we all just get along? 
48. Black and pink are my favourite clours.
49. I wish I was an emo kid. I love how they dress and wear their hair.
50. I laugh really loud. I also talk loud.
51. I wish I knew how to ride a skateboard.
52. People were afraid of me in high school - mostly because I had a ’screw it’ attitude. It still amuses me to this day ’cause I’m a big wuss.
53. I love popping the bubbles on bubble wrap.
54. I love swimming but I’m too shy to walk around in a bathing quit in front of people.
55. Sometimes I wish I cold just sleep for days non stop.
56. I’ve always been very bad at maths.
57. Inspite of the fact that Afrikaans is my first language my best subject was English.
58. I always remind myself I should appreciate my life more than I do.
59. I like nail polish but rarely wear any.
60. I prefer nights to days. I’m definitely a night person.
61. I love fleece blankets and bright coloured materials.
62. I love wearing J’s tshirts around the house.
63. I hate how some people feel the need to be assholes without any reason at all. Would it really kill you to be nice?
64. I like chewing gum. Strong minty flavours.
65. I like anything mixed berry flavoured.
66. I really want to bash the people that come to a stand still in an aisle at the store over the head.
67. I always tip more than ten persent. Always.
68. And I’m always friendly to the waiter or waitress, even if they get my order wrong. I was a waitress once and I know how tired your feet and brain gets after a long shift.
69. I can’t wait to own my own house so I can paint all the walls wonderful colours.
70. I love doing crafts.
71. I wish I knew how to sew.

Well, I don’t know where to start. This was a highly entertaining and informative list of All Things Jane. I guess I’ll first mention that I used to read a webcomic called “Diesel Sweeties” that had a running joke about a character who was vegetarian except for eating bacon. The comic is still going on, and they sell t-shirts that say, “Bacon is a vegetable.” So, go ahead and consider yourself a vegetarian.
I think Dictionary.com is probably wrong because it claims the word “Biltong” is derived from Afrikaans for “butt tongue,” and I cannot imagine, of all the meats you could like, you’d like “butt tongue.” If this is somehow accurate, I think you should cease eating it immediately. That’s just . . . icky.
Really, I could go on and on, because it gives me a lot of information to work with, but I just thought I’d sum it up and say, “Cool list. Glad you let me stick around.”

Oh.. and one more thing… I *wish* the reason I had trouble finding pants to fit was because I had really long legs. Instead, I have the opposite problem; my legs are incredibly short. (I’m only 4′11″!!) I don’t know how fashion works in SA, but here, they have lots of styles labeled: TALL or LONG for girls like you!
You are so lucky! There aren’t ANY ‘long’ or ‘tall’ jeans here. Well, Edgards have some but it’s a straight leg and I only wear bootleg jeans.
